Everyone needs a treat once in awhile, so why not make some homemade frozen yogurt pops. More healthy than store bought and much lower in fat. Here are 2 recipes for you:

Fruit & Yogurt Pops

2 cups vanilla yogurt
2 tablespoons sugar (only if using fresh fruit)
16 oz fresh or frozen fruit
Ice pop molds and sticks

Mix sugar with yogurt. Puree fruit in food processor. Mix yogurt and fruit together and pour into ice pop molds. Insert sticks and freeze overnight. We have used all types of berries. Our favorites have been blackberry and strawberry so far.

Lemon Pie Popsicles

2 cups vanilla yogurt
3 tablespoons lemon juice
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon pure lemon extract
2-3 drops yellow food coloring (optional)
2-3 shortbread cookies (crushed), or use Nilla Wafers

Stir together yogurt, lemon juice, sugar, lemon extract, and food coloring. Scoop equal amounts into ice pop molds. Sprinkle cookie crumbs on top of yogurt mixture and insert stick. Freeze overnight. These can turn out a little sweet, but are oh, so good!

I don’t care what anyone says, you can eat a popsicle any time of the year.
